Love, put the kettle on
Socks, sweaters, toiletries… Why is it so hard to buy a gift for your parents?
Kate approached me asking for a Christmas gift for her folks, and gave me such a goldmine of information and stories about them that it was a joy to write.
I managed to squeeze in the place they met, the names of their children (and the family dog), their favourite song to sing together and their Hull City FC season tickets. All wrapped up in a sweet and funny love song that captured their lives together.
“The recording itself was really good quality. It is a special song that will be treasured forever. Thanks Adam!”
Bailey
When Emma asked for a song for Bailey, I had assumed a friend, maybe a sibling.
Turns out Bailey lives on a community farm and can usually be found snuffling in the mud.
Queue some serious pig research!
Did you know that pigs are one of four mammals with natural defences against snake venom? Did you know when they were first domesticated? Did you know their scientific name is sus domesticus?
Because in the process of this song I learned all that and more.
The result is something funny, sweet and a bit quirky. Perfect for Bailey the pig.
“Love it! Made me smile and brightened my dreary, report writing day!!”
Birthday Song
A fun and upbeat scientific birthday song about cell replication, the vastness of the universe and the relativity of time? Yes please!
“I love this! What a brilliant birthday song.”
Treasure
A Christmas gift for a couple who love thrift shopping together.
Katie wanted a romantic song that captured the couple’s story. She gave a load of amazing details, including some things they definitely didn’t want to include.
Their love of finding treasure became the heart of the song.
“It was so well received — a beautiful song with the perfect balance of emotion, humour and personal references. It’s had everyone who has heard it in floods of tears!”
